Holidays Can Be Hard (Especially this year)

Just as January 1st elicits hope in a new year, Advent, the beginning of the liturgical year brings hope in the coming of Jesus.

Most people are too overwhelmed & stressed out about the shopping, decorations, gifts, wrapping, extra food, parties, family get togethers, decorations & cards to even think about taking time for themselves to prepare their hearts to celebrate Jesus’ birth.  

Instead of feeling more love, peace & joy, we feel frustrated, frazzled & overwhelmed by the over the top expectations we place on ourselves to make the perfect holiday season.  

Yet, all we really need to do – all God asks of us to do is prepare our hearts.  Renew and open our hearts to receive the gift he’s given us, Jesus.

Hello, I'm Julie!

I work with Christian women looking to improve their health and live the happy, active, vibrant life they really want and God really wants for then by helping them pray often, eat well & move more.    

Besides being a Registered Nurse & Health Coach, I’m a wife, mom & grandma too!  I’m an avid Star Wars & Harry Potter fan.  I spend as much time as possible outside in God’s creation, walking through the woods, gardening, watching the sun rise & set, and weed eating on our acreage in rural Iowa.  

Journaling has been a big part of my own health and wellness journey, which is why I believe it’s a critical first step to getting unstuck and back on track with your own health journey!  

I’ve also found guided mediations one of the best ways to quiet my body, mind & spirit.  Allowing me to lower my stress, focus on what’s really important and strengthen my connection to God.
