Stress Resilience Series Fall 2020

Session 1: Nutrition

In this 1st session, Chelsea Larsen, Nutritional Health Coach for Natural Grocers, Cedar Falls shares how Nutrition or our food choices play a major role in how we deal with or respond to stress. She also shares some simple tips on how you can use food to your advantage to manage stress this holiday season.

Session 2: Guided Mediations

Julie Grunklee, RN, MA, NBC-HWC shares one of the best things she’s found to quiet the body, mind & spirit, lower stress, allow healing and see things from different perspectives. Guided Mediations.  She lets you in on the benefits of guided mediation, different places to find them and leads you through one during our time together.

Session 3: Body Movement

Kris Lyons of Piece Wellness will present on body movement as a way to bounce back from many different kinds of stress.  Passionate about the core, mind and body, Kris invites you to bring an active, curious mind as she will share the benefits of body movement as a way to build resiliency.  She also leads us through some core body movements (aka exercises) you can do every day to help your body bounce back from any stressors that may come your way.

Session 4: Supplements

Chelsea Larsen, Nutritional Health Coach for Natural Grocers, Cedar Falls shares how incorporating a few supplements into our daily routine can help manage stress.  Stress depletes many nutrients, but specific supplements can help replenish these very important nutrients and bolster our reserves.  One more tool we can use to bounce back from any stress we may encounter.
